Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) announce new Global Brand Slogan & celebrate 30 years in the region.

12 September 2024, Dubai: Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) marked a significant milestone by
celebrating 30 years in the region during a special event held at The Taj Exotica & Spa, at The Palm Dubai.
The event brought together select media representatives from the GCC and North Africa regions to showcase Honda's diverse product lineup, in Automobiles, Motorcycles, and Marine, business.

The Brand thanked the wider media for their support over the years and shared their achievements of 2023 – 2024, with a glimpse of the future with the Honda Zero series concept models, based on Thinn, Light and Wise philosophy that will be introduced in the region.

Display models included, Honda’s Advanced SUV lineup, comprising of, ZR-V, HR-V, CR-V and Honda Pilot.

Two models were showcased in the Sports Sedan lineup, with the Civic Type R and the Accord e:HEV. For the first time Honda motorcycles were also on display, with the updated CRF1100 Africa Twin, Rebel 1100, X-Adv and the GL1800 Gold Wing. Honda also took advantage of the wider media to showcase the all new BF350, incorporating Honda’s first V8 engine.

Mr. Shunsuke Yamada, Director, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office), welcomed the media with a review of Honda's achievements over the years, including territorial expansion into Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Benin, and Reunion Islands.

He also briefly touched upon the introduction of the Premium Hybrid model, the Accord e: HEV and the fastest front-engine, front-wheel drive car in the world the Civic Type R in the GCC countries. African regions also saw the introduction of hybrid models with the Honda Jazz, HR-V, and CR-V, complimented their existing line up.

He briefly spoke about the updated CRF1100 Africa Twin and the all new BF350, Honda’s first V8 outboard engine and the introduction of “hondamena” platform  in April 2024 with its presence across Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin in addition to its Youtube channel.

Mr. Rajvinder Johal, General Manager, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) spoke about Honda's new Global Brand Slogan, evolving from "The Power of Dreams" to "Power of Dreams: HOW WE MOVE YOU," which encapsulates both physical mobility and emotional engagement. He emphasized Honda's commitment to innovation, empowerment, and augmenting possibilities for people worldwide. He also recapped the brand's “Advanced & Sporty” strategy, introduced in the region in 2022, and its alignment with current product offerings.

He also spoke about how participation in various motorsports enables Honda to develop new technologies that benefit customers and provided examples with Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), Honda e-Clutch, Dual Axis front suspension for the Civic Type R and of course Hybrid technology from F1.

Honda's dedication to safety was underscored with the announcement that Honda SENSING advanced driver-assistive technologies would become standard in all future models, with Civic Type R, Accord, ZR-V, CR-V and Pilot already benefitting.

This initiative aligns with Honda's global safety goal of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by 2050.

This was followed by Mr. Anup Ravindranath, Senior General Manager, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office) who spoke about the future roadmap of Honda in the region with ambitious goals. He touched upon the focus on carbon-neutral power units, energy management systems, resource circulation, autonomous driving, and connectivity. He also touched on the Honda ‘0’ series of electric vehicles under the concept of Thin, Light & Wise. The Saloon model and the Space Hub which were showcased at CES earlier this year.

He went on to explain the future for electric motorcycles with the launch of 10 EV’s globally. In Power Product area the e:GX range of battery powered motors and some sea trials with small Honda outboard engines in the Marine area taking place that use “swapable” battery concept.
 He emphasized on safety as top priority with the goal of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles worldwide by 2050
