VERSTAPPEN TAKES PODIUM, HADJAR SCORES POINT IN SAUDI ARABIA GP

Jeddah Corniche Circuit, 20th April: Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen had to serve a controversial five-second penalty but was still able to secure second place at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Dutch driver finished well clear of Ferrari’s Charles LeClerc and pushed hard as he attempted to catch the McLaren of Oscar Piastri but ran out of laps and had to settle for second. The four-time world champion is now just two points behind Lando Norris and 12 behind Piastri in the championship standings. Verstappen’s teammate Yuki Tsunoda failed to finish the race, while Visa Cash App Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar continued his impressive start to life in F1 as the rookie finished in 10th place. Teammate Liam Lawson was two places further back in 12th.
