Honda Dominates Weekend: INDYCAR Victory and Silverstone Top-10s for Honda

Indy2026 – Round 13

Palou Powers to Portland Victory as Honda Sweeps the Podium

10th August 2026: Honda delivered another dominant performance in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES as Alex Palou stormed to victory at the OnlyBulls Grand Prix of Portland, strengthening his grip on the 2026 championship with his **sixth win of the season*.The Chip Ganassi Racing star led an all-Honda podium sweep, beating Portland polesitter and 2026 Indy 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist into second, while Andretti Global’s Will Power completed the Honda 1-2-3. The victory extends Palou’s championship advantage to an impressive **110 point with just five races remaining**, as he continues his pursuit of a fourth consecutive IndyCar title. Rosenqvist led 33 laps around Portland in his Meyer Shank Racing Honda before Palou seized control during the first pit cycle. Power’s third-place finish marked his third podium of the season, while teammate Kyle Kirkwood finished fifth to reclaim second in the championship standings. Honda also strengthened its position in the manufacturers’ championship, leading, with five Honda-powered drivers finishing inside the top six. With the championship entering its decisive final stretch, Honda and Palou are firmly in command — and showing no signs of slowing down.

MotoGP - British Grand Prix

Honda Charges to Double Top-10 Finish in Thrilling Silverstone Showdown

9th August 2026: The 2026 MotoGP™ World Championship roared back into action at Silverstone with a thrilling British Grand Prix, as Honda battled through a dramatic race to secure a strong double top-10 finish.

Luca Marini delivered another determined ride for Honda HRC Castrol, fighting his way through the field after a difficult start. Despite losing valuable time while battling for position early on, the Italian found his rhythm, charged into the top ten and pushed all the way to the chequered flag to finish ninth – once again the leading Honda rider and adding seven valuable championship points to his tally.

Diogo Moreira also impressed for Pro Honda LCR, turning a challenging weekend at the demanding Silverstone circuit into a solid result. Starting 14th, the Brazilian made a strong getaway, kept his race clean and steadily worked his way forward to secure tenth place and another valuable haul of points.

It was a tougher afternoon for Honda’s other riders, with home hero Cal Crutchlow and Joan Mir both forced to retire following crashes. Despite the disappointment, both riders highlighted the progress made throughout the weekend, with Crutchlow enjoying his fastest-ever pace at Silverstone.

With the British Grand Prix now complete, the MotoGP paddock gets a brief breather before heading to the Grand Prix of Aragon, August 28–30, marking the start of the championship’s next demanding phase.
