20th Jan 2026, Tokyo, Japan: Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today officially launched its works partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, confirming its return to the FIA Formula One World Championship from the 2026 season as a power unit supplier.
Aligned with Formula One’s 2026 regulatory framework focused on electrification, sustainable fuels and cost efficiency, Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) has developed the all-new RA626H power unit, significantly increasing electrical output while meeting strict efficiency and sustainability requirements. Through this fully integrated works partnership, Honda and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team will jointly develop the chassis and power unit as a single package, reinforcing their shared ambition to compete at the highest level of the sport.
From the 2026 season, Honda will conduct its Formula One activities under a new logo representing the partnership between Honda and Formula One. Cars powered by the RA626H will also feature Honda’s refreshed “H” mark, symbolising the transformation of Honda’s automotive business and its renewed focus on innovation and challenge across motorsports.
