HONDA DOMINATES MARKHAM WITH FIFTH 1-2-3 SWEEP OF 2026

16^th Aug 2026: Honda delivered another dominant performance at the inaugural Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham, with Marcus Ericsson leading a Honda 1-2-3-4, securing his first win for Andretti Global and fifth career NTT INDYCAR SERIES victory. Romain Grosjean finished second after a remarkable fuel-saving drive, while Will Power charged from last to third, completing Honda’s fifth podium sweep of 2026 and fourth consecutive street-circuit sweep. Alex Palou finished fourth after starting 11th, extending his championship lead to 133 points with four races remaining, while Honda strengthened its manufacturers’ championship advantage over Chevrolet to 1,225-1,056.

HERLINGS UNSTOPPABLE: 11 STRAIGHT WINS AS HONDA DOMINATES SWEDEN

16th August 2026: Jeffrey Herlings delivered another sensational weekend at Uddevalla, extending his winning streak to 11 consecutive race victories, including qualification, and claiming his fourth straight GP win. The Honda HRC PETRONAS rider was fastest in every session, led every lap of all three races and secured the maximum 60 points, extending his 2026 MXGP championship lead to 116 points with just four rounds remaining. The victory also ended Herlings’ 12-year wait for an MXGP win in Sweden and marked his ninth GP victory of the season, his best campaign since claiming his fifth world title in 2021.

Teammate Tom Vialle joined Herlings on the podium with an impressive third overall (3-4), including his seventh holeshot of the season, while Ruben Fernandez fought hard for sixth overall (5-6-5). Valerio Lata recovered from a first-lap incident to finish 10th overall. The championship now heads to Arnhem in the Netherlands, where Herlings will look to continue his remarkable streak in front of his passionate home fans and move another step closer to a sixth world title.
