Al-Futtaim Honda with the collaboration of Honda Middle East Africa Launch Region’s 2nd Motorcycle Safety Training for Delivery Bike Riders

28th September 2026, Dubai – Honda and Al-Futtaim Honda Launch Second Motorcycle Safety Training Programme for UAE Delivery Riders

In a continued effort to promote safer roads across the UAE, Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa Office), in collaboration with its authorised distributor Al-Futtaim Honda, has launched its second motorcycle safety training programme dedicated to commercial delivery riders.

As the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, with annual production exceeding 16 million units, Honda has a longstanding commitment to motorcycle safety and rider education, with dedicated training initiatives implemented across markets worldwide. Against the backdrop of the UAE’s rapidly expanding food delivery sector and increasingly busy urban roads, Honda MEA and Al-Futtaim Honda are reinforcing their commitment to equipping professional riders with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the roads safely and responsibly.

The one-day intensive training programme took place on September 24, 2026, at Al-Futtaim Automotive Talent Centre, with delivery riders from leading platforms such as “TALABAT”.

Designed specifically for professionals who spend their working days navigating the UAE’s roads, the programme places rider safety at the centre of the delivery industry. Through practical training and safety-focused guidance, the initiative aims to encourage greater awareness, discipline and responsibility among commercial motorcycle riders.

The programme also reflects a broader vision for safer and more harmonious road sharing, promoting a culture of mutual respect between motorcyclists and other road users. By investing in rider education and professional development, Honda MEA and Al-Futtaim Honda seek to contribute to safer urban mobility and support the delivery riders who play an increasingly important role in everyday life across the UAE.

A Step Toward Zero Fatalities:

As the motorcycle market leader in the Middle East, Honda is committed to promote safe riding practices. This event marks a strategic step toward establishing long term regional training programs, our trainers will play a key role in extending the reach of the program. Leading the sessions to educate and empower more delivery riders across the region by bringing global best practices in road safety to Dubai.

The training covered key areas such as:

  • Introduction on Honda Global Safety Vision 2050
  • Safe riding techniques and importance of riding gear
  • Pre motorcycle checks & MC behaviour with different loads and road surfaces
  • Hazard prediction
  • Case studies on intersection accidents
  • Defensive riding
  • Road etiquette and responsibility

Riders underwent both theory and practical modules, with personalized feedback and skill assessments. This initiative is part of Honda’s global 2050 vision to achieve zero traffic fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and Honda vehicles. It also supports the UAE’s national goals to significantly reduce road accidents.

Through this collaboration, Honda MEA and Al-Futtaim Honda reaffirm their commitment to a safer, smarter, and more sustainable transportation future in the UAE.

" By enhancing riders' skills, we aim to build safer communities and set new benchmarks for motorcycle safety across the region.”
