9th June Race Weekend Highlights: Motorsports

  1. TRIAL GP – SAN MARINO

Repsol Honda HRC Dominates San Marino TrialGP with Perfect One-Two Finish

9th June 2025: Repsol Honda HRC wrapped up the San Marino TrialGP in dominant fashion, securing a one-two finish with Toni Bou claiming the overall victory and Gabriel Marcelli notching his first premier class race win. Despite challenging conditions due to repeated sections and rider fatigue, Bou displayed resilience by finishing second in the first race and winning the second with a near-flawless performance. Marcelli impressed with a strong start and maintained his momentum to finish second overall, marking his best performance of the season. With this result, Bou extended his lead in the championship standings, while Marcelli advanced in his pursuit of second place. The series now pauses before resuming in the U.S., where Bou could clinch the world title.

  2. MX GP Latvia

Mixed Fortunes for Honda Riders Amidst Grit, Setbacks, and Recovery at Latvia

9th June 2025: Ruben Fernandez delivered a strong performance at the latest round, overcoming recent injuries to secure a fifth overall finish with 33 points, thanks to solid starts and determined riding on his Honda CRF450R. In contrast, Valerio Lata faced technical issues in both MX2 motos, forcing early retirements and halting his recent momentum. Adding to Honda’s challenges, Ferruccio Zanchi has been sidelined indefinitely due to a knee injury sustained in Germany, a blow to his promising season. While Fernandez showed resilience, the team now shifts focus to recovery and regrouping ahead of upcoming rounds.
