Alex Palou led Honda drivers in Milwaukee with a 5^th-place finish in the snap-on 250, the second race of the “INDYCAR Series” double-header. Starting from pole—his eighth of the season—Palou was Honda’s top finisher, just ahead of fellow Honda driver Kyle Kirkwood, who charged from 24th to 6^th, gaining 18 positions.

The first race was delayed due to the rain, the snap-on makers and fixers 250, Marcus Ericsson and Marcus Armstrong finished eighth and ninth for Honda, while Palou’s 10th-place finish secured his fifth “INDYCAR Series” championship and fourth consecutive title.

Palou and Honda have already clinched the drivers’ and manufacturers’ championships. It marks Honda’s 8^th INDYCAR championship and 12^th American open wheel title, as well as the youngest driver to win five championships.

Honda will now target the rookie of the year title, with Dennis Hauger and Mick Schumacher leading the standings. The 2026 season concludes at the mission grand prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca September 4-6.

Honda MotoGP riders remained composed in a dramatic 23-lap Grand Prix of Aragon, with all four scoring points.

Diogo Moreira led Honda home in 9^th, battling strongly after starting 10th. Joan Mir delivered a determined recovery from 15th to 12th, while Luca Marini finished 14th to continue his run of points-scoring results.

Johann Zarco, returning from a three-month injury absence, started ninth but served a double long-lap penalty. He fought back to finish 15th, securing another valuable championship point.

Toni Bou continued his unbeaten 2026 TrialGP season in Cahors, France, leading a Repsol Honda HRC one-two alongside Gabriel Marcelli in the fifth round of the championship.

Bou dominated the demanding, high-temperature event to claim another victory, extending his perfect record and strengthening his championship lead with 360 points. He will have his first opportunity to secure another world title at next weekend’s penultimate round in the Netherlands.

Marcelli delivered a consistent performance to finish second, moving back into second place in the overall standings with 263 points.

The TrialGP World Championship heads to Netherlands, next weekend, where Bou will aim to close a record 40th world title.

Honda HRC Progressive’s Hunter Lawrence captured his first AMA Pro Motocross 450 National Championship on Saturday at Ironman Raceway, completing a dramatic season-long battle with his brother and teammate, Jett Lawrence.

After narrowly missing the 2026 AMA Supercross title, Hunter returned stronger for the outdoor season, winning the opening round at Pala with a perfect 1-1 result. He went on to claim six overall victories across 11 rounds, establishing himself as the championship favorite.

Hunter and defending champion Jett dominated the season aboard their CRF450RWE machines, winning 20 of 22 motos and exchanging the championship lead six times. With just one point separating them heading into the finale, the title came down to the final two motos.

Hunter overcame a difficult opening moto, recovering from a first-lap incident to finish eighth, while Jett battled through an aggravated ankle injury to take 11th. In the second moto, Jett finished third and Hunter fourth, securing the overall championship by a narrow margin.

The title marks Hunter’s first premier-class AMA Pro Motocross championship and Honda’s 16th premier-class Riders Championship, extending its record. Honda HRC Progressive also achieved its second consecutive 1-2 finish in the 450 championship standings.

Honda enjoyed further success in the 250 class, with Chance Hymas and Jo Shimoda both earning overall wins during the season. Hymas finished fourth in the championship, while Shimoda’s title challenge ended early after an injury at Round 6. Honda also secured the AMA Pro Motocross Manufacturers Championship.

The team now turns its attention to the SuperMotocross World Championship, which begins September 12 in Columbus, Ohio. Honda HRC Progressive has won every 450-class round since the series was introduced three years ago.
