Marini Leads Honda Charge in Challenging Indonesian GP
12th October 2026, Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Indonesia – Luca Marini led Honda’s efforts at the Indonesian Grand Prix, finishing 12th after an impressive start and an early battle for the top ten at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.
Marini gained five positions at the start and fought strongly in the opening stages before declining edge grip affected his pace. He remains Honda’s leading rider in the championship standings, with 108 points and just 17 points separating him from the top ten.
Castrol Honda LCR’s Johann Zarco secured 13th place after a consistent and measured performance, earning valuable championship points and data for upcoming races. Teammate Diogo Moreira finished 16th following a determined recovery from 20th on the grid.
Meanwhile, Honda HRC Castrol and Aleix Espargaro withdrew from Sunday’s race due to the physical limitations caused by his earlier-season injuries.
MotoGP now takes a one-week break before the upcoming triple-header, beginning with the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
Dixon and Chantra Deliver Double Points Finish for Honda HRC at Estoril
12th October 2026, Estoril, Portugal – Honda HRC concluded the penultimate round of the 2026 WorldSBK season with a double points finish at Circuito Estoril, as Jake Dixon secured eighth in the Superpole Race and tenth in Race 2, while Somkiat Chantra fought back to claim 13th place.
Dixon delivered a consistent performance in the Superpole Race before recovering positions in the afternoon’s 21-lap contest to earn six additional championship points.
Chantra demonstrated strong determination after difficult starts in both races. The Thai rookie recovered from 21st to finish 13th in Race 2, narrowly missing 12th place by just 0.033 seconds and collecting three valuable points.
Honda HRC now turns its attention to the 2026 WorldSBK season finale at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, next weekend.
