Power Charges to Another Podium as Honda Stars Shine at Road America
June 22nd 2026, Road America: – Will Power secured his second podium finish since joining Andretti Global at the start of the season, driving to an impressive third-place result in the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America. The newly signed Honda driver backed up his podium at the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington—where Honda swept the top four positions—with another strong performance, leading the manufacturer's efforts at Road America.
Kyffin Simpson delivered a career-best fourth-place finish, marking the young Cayman Islands driver's strongest result of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver improved on his previous best of ninth place, achieved earlier this month in Detroit.
Championship leader Alex Palou, who secured pole position for a remarkable fifth consecutive race, recovered from a pit-lane speeding penalty to finish fifth. The result extends the four-time and reigning IndyCar champion's advantage in the standings to 60 points after beginning the day with a 49-point lead.
Honda-powered entries dominated much of the race, leading all but 10 laps and narrowly missing out on victory. Felix Rosenqvist paced the field for a race-high 18 laps before finishing eighth, while Palou led 13 laps. Meyer Shank Racing's Marcus Armstrong also looked like a contender after leading 14 laps, but a mechanical issue while running at the front ended his challenge.
Andretti Global's Kyle Kirkwood added another top-10 finish to his consistent campaign, recording his ninth top-10 result in 10 races this season. Kirkwood now sits 61 points behind Palou in the championship and just one point shy of second place in the standings.

Herlings Masters Montevarchi to Secure Fourth GP Victory of 2026
June 22nd, 2026: Jeffrey Herlings overcame the challenging dry and rocky conditions of Montevarchi, Italy, to claim his fourth Grand Prix victory of the 2026 season for Honda HRC PETRONAS. A crucial holeshot and race win in moto one set the foundation for success, while a determined charge to second place in moto two secured the overall victory.
The Dutchman’s 1-2 scorecard also helped him gain six valuable points in the championship standings. Teammate Tom Vialle enjoyed a positive return from injury, finishing seventh overall
For Ruben Fernandez, the weekend proved more challenging. A heavy crash on Saturday forced the Spaniard to start from the far outside gate, making life difficult from the outset. Still, Fernandez showed impressive resilience, posting 13-12 finishes for 13th overall and demonstrating the fighting spirit that will serve him well at next weekend’s Portuguese Grand Prix.
Italian hopeful Valerio Lata was eager to shine at his home event and enjoyed strong starts in both races. However, the unforgiving Montevarchi circuit made finding a consistent rhythm difficult, ultimately keeping him out of podium contention.
With Montevarchi now behind them, Honda HRC PETRONAS turns its attention to Agueda, Portugal, where cooler conditions and a more rider-friendly layout promise another opportunity for strong results.
