13th July 2026, WEST SUSSEX, UK — Honda marked a landmark year in its motorsport heritage at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, combining a celebration of the 40th anniversary of its first FIA Formula One World Championship™ Constructors' title with a dynamic showcase of its latest performance and electrification technologies.
In 1986, the Williams Honda FW11 — powered by a 1.5-litre V6 twin-turbo RA166E engine — delivered Honda's first Constructors' Championship title, winning nine of 16 Grands Prix that season. The result marked the beginning of a golden era in which Honda would go on to claim multiple further championships.
