Honda Reaches Milestone of 500 F1™ Races

  • A special Honda500 logo will feature on Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team’s AMR26 cars and HRC race engineers’ uniforms.

Honda will reach the milestone of 500 Formula 1® races since its debut in 1964 at the FIA*1 Formula One World Championship™ United States Grand Prix*2, to be held at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, from 23 (Friday) to 25 (Sunday) October 2026 (local time). To commemorate the occasion, the F1 cars of Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team (AMAF1), the AMR26, will race with a special Honda500 commemorative logo. Honda will also undertake other initiatives to mark the milestone.

This historic milestone has been made possible by the passionate support of fans who have stood behind Honda’s challenges over the years, as well as the partners who have competed alongside Honda.

Honda’s F1 journey began at the 1964 German Grand Prix. Over the decades, Honda has participated in F1 in various capacities, including as a full factory team developing both chassis and engines, an engine supplier, and a power unit manufacturer.

To mark its 500th race, Honda will introduce a series of commemorative initiatives that celebrate the achievements of the past while reaffirming its commitment to future challenges.

From the 2026 season, Honda has been competing in F1 as a works partner of AMAF1, supplying the team with its RA626H F1 power unit.

At the United States Grand Prix, the AMR26 cars will feature the Honda500 commemorative logo to mark Honda’s 500th F1 race.

Race engineers from Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), who work alongside the team at the circuit, will also wear special uniforms featuring the same logo for this milestone event.

Special website and commemorative video celebrating 500 races of F1 history

Honda will launch a special website today tracing its F1 history from its debut at the 1964 German Grand Prix.

A commemorative video highlighting Honda’s journey through 500 races will also be released on Honda’s official YouTube channel and social media platforms.
