Marini's Eighth Extends Points Streak as Honda Heads into Summer Break at Sachsenring July 12th 2026: Luca Marini capped a solid Sachsenring weekend with eighth place, holding off Jack Miller and reeling in Fabio Quartararo late to keep his run of Sunday points finishes alive and close the gap to Alex Marquez in the championship to just eight points. Diogo Moreira battled grip issues to fight back from 18th on the grid to 11th, while Cal Crutchlow crashed out of the points battle with eight laps remaining and Joan Mir's race ended after seven laps with an unhurt fall at the final corner. MotoGP now heads into its three-week summer break before the British GP (August 7–9). Dixon and Chantra Battle to 17th and 18th at Donington as Honda HRC Regroups 12th July 2026: Honda HRC endured a tough Donington Park WorldSBK round, with Jake Dixon (17th) and Somkiat Chantra (18th) posting their best results across Sunday's two races, though the team gathered useful data for future development. In the Superpole Race, Chantra ran as high as 13th before tyre drop-off dropped him to 18th, while Dixon recovered from a poor start to edge past his teammate for 17th. Race 2 saw Dixon hold 17th for most of the 23 laps without reaching the points-scoring group, while Chantra was hit with an early incident, dropped to 20th, and eventually retired with four laps to go. Wildcard entry Jonathan Rea, running with Honda HRC's Test Team, finished 10th and 14th, gathering valuable race-condition data despite late-race fade. The championship now breaks for summer before resuming at Magny-Cours (September 4–6), where Honda HRC will also hold its first of two planned test sessions on August 13–14.
